Sirloin Steak and Quinoa Medley

Recipe Name: Sirloin Steak and Quinoa Medley

Main Ingredient: Beef (Sirloin Steak)

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz sirloin steak
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 2 cups kale, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium sized onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of chili flakes

Instructions:

  1. Season the sirloin steak with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a pan. Once hot, add the steak and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until it reaches your preferred level of doneness. Remove from the heat and let it rest.
  3. In the same pan, add the remaining olive oil, diced onion, and minced garlic. Sauté until the onions become translucent.
  4. Add the diced bell pepper and chopped kale to the pan. Sauté until the vegetables are cooked.
  5. Stir in the cooked quinoa and make sure everything is well combined.
  6. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili flakes to create the sauce. Pour this sauce over the quinoa and vegetable mix. Stir well.
  7. Slice the rested steak thinly and mix it into the quinoa and vegetable medley.

Plating:

Place a neat serving of the sirloin steak and quinoa medley on a plate, ensuring an even distribution of beef, quinoa and vegetables.
