Lamb & Quinoa Power Burgers

Lamb & Quinoa Power Burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds of ground lamb
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Whole grain buns (optional)
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • Lettuce

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground lamb, cooked quinoa, minced garlic, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into four patties.
  2. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Brush each patty lightly with olive oil.
  4. Cook the patties for 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until a thermometer inserted into the center reads 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
  5. Serve the patties on whole grain buns(optional) with lettuce and tomato slices.

Plating:

Arrange a lettuce leaf on a clean, white plate and place the juicy lamb burger on top. Position thinly sliced tomatoes to the side of the burger, cascading like a deck of cards. If using a bun, place the top half angled on the side to give a view of the burger’s wholesome filling. Sprinkle some cooked quinoa and chopped rosemary on the plate for garnishing. The result is a high-protein meal that looks just as fantastic as it tastes, with the rustic colors of the lamb, quinoa, and vegetables contrasting beautifully with the white of the plate.
