Turmeric-Infused Lamb Points with Lentil Mash

Recipe: Turmeric-Infused Lamb Points with Lentil Mash

Main Ingredient: Lamb

Ingredients:

  • 500g lamb points,
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder,
  • 1 cup of lentils,
  • 3 cloves garlic,
  • 1 medium onion,
  • 1 tbsp olive oil,
  • Salt and pepper to taste,
  • 1 bunch of fresh parsley,
  • 2 cups of water.

Instructions:

  1. Season the lamb points with turmeric, salt, and pepper, then set aside to marinate for 30 mins.
  2. In a large pot, sauté the onions and garlic in olive oil until golden and aromatic.
  3. Add the marinated lamb points to the pot and sear all sides until browned.
  4. Rinse the lentils and add them to the pot along with the water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes, or until the lamb points are cooked through and the lentils are soft.
  5. Remove the lamb points and dish out the lentils into a bowl. Using a blender or food processor, blend the lentils until smooth to create a lentil mash.
  6. Adjust the seasoning of the lentil mash with salt and pepper, then stir in chopped fresh parsley.

Plating:

On a broad, flat plate, evenly spread a layer of the lentil mash. Lay the juicy lamb points on top of the lentil bed, aiming for an enticing visual contrast. The final plating should exude a vibrant, hearty appeal while emphasizing the protein-rich star of the meal in both appearance and flavor.
