Recipe: Turmeric-Infused Lamb Points with Lentil Mash
Main Ingredient: Lamb
Ingredients:
- 500g lamb points,
- 1 tsp turmeric powder,
- 1 cup of lentils,
- 3 cloves garlic,
- 1 medium onion,
- 1 tbsp olive oil,
- Salt and pepper to taste,
- 1 bunch of fresh parsley,
- 2 cups of water.
Instructions:
- Season the lamb points with turmeric, salt, and pepper, then set aside to marinate for 30 mins.
- In a large pot, sauté the onions and garlic in olive oil until golden and aromatic.
- Add the marinated lamb points to the pot and sear all sides until browned.
- Rinse the lentils and add them to the pot along with the water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes, or until the lamb points are cooked through and the lentils are soft.
- Remove the lamb points and dish out the lentils into a bowl. Using a blender or food processor, blend the lentils until smooth to create a lentil mash.
- Adjust the seasoning of the lentil mash with salt and pepper, then stir in chopped fresh parsley.
