Balsamic Glazed Lamb Skewers

Recipe: Balsamic Glazed Lamb Skewers

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of lean lamb cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons balsamic reduction glaze
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 red onion

For the balsamic reduction glaze:

  • 2 cups balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to a medium-high heat.
  2. Lightly season the lamb cubes with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Thread the lamb cubes onto skewers together with sliced red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, zucchini, and red onion.
  4. To make the balsamic reduction, mix together balsamic vinegar and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the mixture is reduced by half.
  5. Grill the skewers for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your liking.
  6. Brush the skewers generously with the balsamic glaze in the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Plating:

Once the skewers are perfectly grilled, glistening with the shiny balsamic glaze, it’s time for plating. Lay a skewer diagonally across a rectangle or oval plate for a modern look, or vertically down the center of a classic round plate. You can accompany it with a fresh mixed green salad on the side. The contrasting colors of the bell peppers, zucchini, and red onions on the skewers give this dish an appealing, vibrant look. Finally, drizzle a bit more of balsamic glaze over the skewers right before serving to enhance the glossy finish and deep brown color. The result should be rustic yet sophisticated, ready to captivate your senses.
