Beef Protein Power Bowl

Main Ingredient

Beef (You can choose lean ground beef, steak strips, etc.)

Ingredients

  1. 450 grams of lean beef, sliced into strips
  2. 2 cups of quinoa
  3. 2 cups of broccoli florets
  4. 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  5. 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  6. 100 grams of cherry tomatoes, halved
  7. 50 grams of feta cheese, optional
  8. Juice of 1 lemon
  9. 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  10. Salt and black pepper to taste
  11. Fresh parsley to garnish

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. On a baking sheet, combine the broccoli, red bell pepper, and yellow bell pepper. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and black pepper, then toss everything together. Roast the vegetables in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until they’re tender and slightly charred.
  3. While the veggies are roasting, cook the quinoa as per the package instructions.
  4. For the beef, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the beef, season with salt and black pepper, and cook until it’s browned and cooked through.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked quinoa, roasted vegetables, cooked beef, and halved cherry tomatoes.
  6. Add lemon juice, olive oil, and season the mixture with salt and black pepper, then toss everything together. If desired, you can also add feta cheese for extra creaminess and protein.

Plating

Start by placing a generous scoop of the quinoa in a bowl as a base. Place the cooked beef strips attractively on one side. Arrange the colorful roasted vegetables alongside the beef, being careful not to mix them. Sprinkle the cherry tomatoes and optional feta cheese over top. Let some of the ingredients pile up naturally to add height and volume to the bowl. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley on top to add color and freshness. The final presentation should showcase all the ingredients in their respective sections, creating a vibrant and appetizing visual effect.
